Multiple Exposures

Shooting and blending multi-exposure composites (a7R III has no in-camera mode)

The a7R III has no in-camera multiple-exposure mode, so shoot a set of frames and blend them in software.

1. Capture

2. Prepare (Capture One)

Import, apply consistent basic adjustments (exposure, White Balance, contrast) to every frame, then export 16-bit TIFF for editing.

3. Blend (Affinity Photo)

Creative pairings: a face + tree branches, cityscape + stars, silhouette + flowers. Try motion blur on one layer, or a black-and-white conversion for graphic impact. Keep a layered .afphoto master and export a flattened TIFF/JPEG.
